WILDWOOD TV LIFT FURNITURE ADDS A NEW PRODUCT TO ITS PRODUCT LINE TO BETTER SERVE ITS CUSTOMERS
Introducing the Wildwood Captain’s Bed
PROVO, UT (June 25, 2018) — In a continual effort to better serve customers’ needs, Wildwood TV Lift Furniture has designed and developed a captain’s bed that can be incorporated with any Wildwood TV bed to add additional storage capabilities and overall utility to any Wildwood customer’s bedroom. In many instances, individuals are looking for a TV bed (also known as TV lift footboard, or footboard TV lift) because they find themselves lacking in space. Captain’s beds are designed to provide incredible concealed storage capabilities in a space usually left totally wasted.
What is a Captain’s Bed?
A captain’s bed is a bed that is built with drawers underneath the mattress deck. These drawers are easily accessible from the sides and provide enormous storage capabilities. The drawers within a captain’s bed are generally large, and designed to store items such as clothing, bedding, knick-knacks, and many other items. In the usage scenario of a TV lift footboard, the drawers in a captain’s bed are also perfect for storage of remote controls, DVDs, or any other accessories used for TV viewing. Generally, the space beneath a mattress is unused and represents dozens of cubic feet that go entirely wasted. In a home that is already short on space, this kind of waste is an extremely large sacrifice. A captain’s bed recaptures that space and utilizes it for practical use.
How Does a Captain’s Bed Work with A TV Lift Footboard?
Generally, when one orders a TV bed from Wildwood TV Lift Furniture, it includes the headboard, TV lift footboard (including the TV lift mechanism and all ancillary items), and siderails that run the length of the mattress and attach the headboard to the footboard. With a captain’s bed, rather than using siderails to attach the headboard to the TV lift footboard, there are two drawer cabinets constructed that run the length of the mattress and provide openings for three drawers per side. These two drawer cabinets are connected to each other at their backs (where the middle of the mattress would be) and then attached to the headboard and the footboard. A mattress decking is then attached to the top of the cabinets to create a solid, uniform platform for a mattress to rest on. It is important to note that a box spring is not necessary when using a Wildwood Captain’s Bed, the mattress rests directly on the mattress deck.
When a customer orders a pop up TV bed with a captain’s bed, the captain’s bed will be designed to match the finish and style of the TV bed. For example, if a customer orders an Oxford TV Bed in the autumn haze finish, the captain’s bed will also be in autumn haze and will use the same trim and styling as the Oxford TV Bed to match. This creates the appearance of one seamless piece of furniture.
