How Do Your TV Beds Work?
Our TV beds set up easily and function intuitively. Because we ship them pre-built, the set up of a Standard TV Bed typically only takes about 20-30 minutes. The TV lift footboard has a power source with a 15-foot cord which you can simply plug into a standard 110v outlet on the wall at the head of your bed. This power source can provide power for your TV lift mechanism as well as your TV.
Once your TV bed is set up and connected to power, there are two methods you can use to operate the lift mechanism: a rocker switch on the back of the footboard or a remote control. You’ll most likely use your remote most often, but occasionally the rocker switch on the footboard comes in handy. The top (or the lid) of the TV lift footboard opens and closes automatically with the raising and lowering of the lift mechanism, so you’ll never have to manually open or close it when you’re operating your TV Bed.

Our TV beds are unique because they look like a normal bed up until the moment that you raise the TV out of the footboard. In fact, most customers find that when guests see their TV lift footboard for the first time their guest has no idea that the footboard hides a TV. We love hearing stories like those because we have worked very hard to build TV lift footboards that are as slim as possible. Our philosophy is that an ugly TV lift cabinet at the foot of your bed is no better than hanging your TV on the wall. At Wildwood TV Lift Furniture, we take pride in manufacturing a product that meets the highest standards of quality. Because of this, we work with a variety of reputable LTL freight carriers to ensure that your TV lift furniture arrives in good condition and in a manner that is convenient to you. Our standard shipping package includes residential, lift-gate delivery. This package ensures that your bed will be delivered to any residential location accessible by truck in the contiguous United States. Once the truck arrives, the driver will unload the product and move it to the first dry area (typically a garage or carport). It is important that you are present at the time of delivery in order to inspect the boxes for any visible damage. Though not common, requesting that the driver make note of any damage to the product on the bill of lading ensures that we have the ability to file a claim with the carrier if necessary. If you live in an area not accessible to a freight carrier or have another shipping need not met by the standard package, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We have extensive experience working with freight carriers and will do whatever we can to get your TV lift furniture to you in a way that meets your needs.

FAQs
We ship all of our TV beds pre-built. This means that when your bed arrives, the headboard, footboard, and any other cabinets (nightstands, captain’s bed cabinets) are fully built before they are boxed and shipped to you. All you need to do is connect all of the pieces to one another with a few machine screws that are provided in your hardware box. Typical TV bed assembly takes about 30 minutes.
All good things take time. In this case, right now it is taking 5-6 weeks for us to hand-build your bed and ship it to you.
Remember that you are purchasing custom furniture. We build every TV bed by hand to your unique specifications. The benefit is that you get to choose the size, style, color, layout, etc. of your bed and you have a lot of control over making customizations. The downside is that you have to be a little patient.

If you choose to upgrade to our captain’s bed base, you do not need a separate bed frame. The captain’s bed base is designed with a full platform for your mattress to rest directly upon.
Our TV Beds use one of the most versatile TV lift mechanisms on the market, but there are still TVs that won’t work with our mechanism. So, if you’d like to make your life a whole lot easier, just get the TV from us. We’ll verify that it works with our mechanism before we ship it to you.
